Hello Timberwolf Families
As a reminder our upcoming Association Meeting is critical. Due to this we have decided as a board to move it to Tuesday, January 20th at 6pm to allow for families to better plan with the return to school. We need to meet quorum and appoint a nominating committee for PTA Executive Board elections for the 2026/2027 school year. Please attend, and if you would like to serve on the nominating committee, please volunteer at the meeting. The committee will meet no more than 3 times and will select the nominees.
Elections will be held at our March meeting for the WCEPTA Executive Board 2026/2027 school year. In order to be a California PTA we are required at minimum to have a President, Treasurer and Secretary. We will require new nominations at minimum for all of these positions, as many of our current board members will be graduating with their 6th graders. All of the following positions & events will need new leadership: President/Holiday Grams/Meet & Greet, Treasurer/Holiday Shop, Parliamentarian/Auditor/MovieNights/Book Fair, Historian/Bingo Night, Communications/Book Fair. Some of our board members with younger Timberwolves may stay on but they will need your support. Please step up and help them out. To be clear, if we do NOT have a President, Treasurer and Secretary we do not have a PTA. Wolf Canyon has carried on the legacy of a PTA that supports our students and teachers from Movie Nights to Field Trips Grants to Bingo Night for the students, and multiple classroom grants for our teachers. It would be unfortunate to have to disband after so many years of support. Please reach out to PTA at wolfcanyonpta@gmail.com if you are interested or have questions. We understand this is extra work for a community of already hard working busy parents but if we work together we can keep this PTA going.
